ISHAKA UBE

(ee-shah-ka oo-bey)

"Ishaka" is the Igbo word for Shekere and "Ube" are the dried seeds attached to this wonderfully loud and organic sounding shekere.

Each Ishaka has a thumb hole in the side in order for the player to hold and steady the instrument .
