UDU
(oo-doo)
A truly gigantic, room-shaking sub-bass tone is produced from these traditional Igbo pot drums, which is played with a soft sponge paddle (included) or with hands for the smallest size.
They can produce an open note, a half note and a muted note.
Because the body is metal and not the original clay construction, you can also gently strike the body with any hard object to produce a range of different metallic sounds.
The weight of largest size is only approx 5kg!
Scroll through the gallery to my demos of each size.
SMALL - Two tones and noted bending, played with hands
MEDIUM - Main tone, half tone, muted tone, played with paddle
BIG - Main tone, half tone, muted tone, played with paddle
LARGE - Main tone, half tone, muted tone, played with paddle
